Terms of Use for Fin

Last updated September 29, 2026

These terms govern your use of Fin, a terminal client for connecting to SSH servers, on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and visionOS. By downloading or using Fin, you agree to these terms.

The app

Fin lets you store server connection details and SSH keys on your device (and, if you choose, sync them via your own iCloud account), and connect to servers you configure over SSH. Direct SSH connections go straight from your device to infrastructure you control or are authorized to access. Fin also offers optional cloud features — a relay, agent messaging, and cloud agent computers — on a small service operated by the developer, described in the Privacy Policy.

Your responsibility

No warranty

Fin is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The developer does not guarantee Fin will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. You use Fin, and any servers you connect to through it, at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Fin is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to data loss, unauthorized access resulting from compromised credentials, or issues with servers you connect to.

Third-party services

Fin relies on Apple's iCloud, Keychain, CloudKit, and Sign in with Apple services, and on Amazon Web Services for its optional cloud features. Your use of those services is also subject to Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use of Fin after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
